If we increase the price of your current plan we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your subscription will continue at the existing price until the end of your current billing cycle. At renewal the new price will apply. If you do not wish to continue at the new price you may cancel before your renewal date.
3.4 Prices inclusive of VAT All prices displayed on our pricing page are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required by law. If VAT applies to your purchase it will be displayed at checkout.
4. Billing and payment
4.1 Payment processing All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing a subscription you authorise Shotly to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis through Stripe until your subscription is cancelled. Shotly does not store your card details or payment credentials directly.
4.2 Billing date Your billing date is set on the date you first purchase your subscription. For monthly plans you will be charged on the same date each month. For annual plans you will be charged upfront for the full twelve month period.
4.3 Auto renewal All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will not receive a separate reminder before your subscription renews. It is your responsibility to cancel before your renewal date if you do not wish to continue.
4.4 Payment failure If a payment fails for any reason your account will immediately revert to the Free Plan. Access to all features not included in the Free Plan will be suspended until a successful payment is made and your subscription is reinstated. Shotly is not liable for any disruption to your production caused by a failed payment.
4.5 Keeping payment details up to date You are responsible for ensuring your payment details are accurate and up to date within your billing settings. You can update your payment method at any time by visiting your billing page and following the prompts through Stripe.
4.6 Invoices A downloadable invoice is generated automatically for every successful payment and is available from your billing page. Invoices are provided in PDF format.
5. Annual plans
5.1 Annual billing Annual plans are charged upfront as a single payment covering a full twelve month subscription period.
5.2 Two months free Annual plan subscribers receive two months of access at no additional charge. This is equivalent to ten months billed for twelve months of access. The two months free benefit is applied automatically at the time of purchase and is reflected in the annual price displayed on our pricing page.
5.3 Annual plan commitment By purchasing an annual plan you are committing to a twelve month subscription. Cancellation of an annual plan does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining unused months except in the circumstances set out in Section 8.
5.4 Switching from monthly to annual You may switch from a monthly plan to an annual plan at any time from your billing page. When you switch you will be charged the annual rate immediately and your billing cycle will reset to the date of the switch.
5.5 Switching from annual to monthly You may switch from an annual plan to a monthly plan. The switch will take effect at the end of your current annual billing period. You will not receive a refund for the remaining unused portion of your annual plan.
6. Upgrades
6.1 Upgrading your plan You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time from your billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately upon confirmation of payment.
6.2 Immediate charge When you upgrade you will be charged the new plan amount immediately. Your new features and seats will be unlocked straight away upon successful payment.
6.3 Existing content All your existing projects, scripts, shot lists, schedules, budgets, call sheets and other content remain intact when you upgrade. Nothing is lost or reset.
6.4 Upgrading Studio Plan seats If you are on a Studio Plan and wish to add more seats you may upgrade to a higher seat tier at any time from your billing page. The new seat tier amount will be charged immediately upon confirmation.
7. Downgrades
7.1 Downgrading your plan You may downgrade your subscription plan at any time from your billing page.
7.2 Immediate effect Downgrades take effect immediately upon confirmation. Unlike cancellation you do not retain access to your higher tier features until the end of your billing period. Access to features not included in your new plan is removed immediately upon downgrading.
7.3 No refund on downgrade Downgrading does not entitle you to a refund of any unused portion of your current billing period.
7.4 Excess users on downgrade If your new plan supports fewer users than you currently have active you will have 24 hours from the time of downgrade to remove the excess users yourself. If the excess users are not removed within 24 hours Shotly reserves the right to remove users automatically. Shotly recommends you action this yourself to retain control over which users remain on your project.
7.5 Excess projects on downgrade If your usage exceeds the limits of your new plan in any other respect — including project limits or storage — you should export or archive any content you need before confirming the downgrade. Shotly is not liable for any loss of access to content resulting from a downgrade.
7.6 Feature access on downgrade The following are examples of features that become unavailable upon downgrading from certain plans. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. Full plan feature details are available at shotly.io/pricing:
Downgrading from Studio to Pro: loss of access to Budgeting, Invoicing, Asset Vault, Equipment Tracking, Team Chat and Agency Dashboard
Downgrading from Pro to Indie: loss of access to AI Automation, Breakdowns, Scheduling, Contacts, Locations and multi-user collaboration
Downgrading from Indie to Free: loss of access to full ScriptHub, Storyboarding, MoodSpace, Shot Lists, Call Sheets, Task Boards and AI Creative Partner
8. Cancellation
8.1 How to cancel You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page by following the cancellation process through Stripe.
8.2 Access following cancellation Upon cancellation you will retain full access to your current plan until the end of your current billing period. After your billing period ends your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan.
8.3 Effect on content Following cancellation and reversion to the Free Plan your projects and content remain in your account but you will lose access to any features not included in the Free Plan. We strongly recommend exporting any important documents — call sheets, budgets, scripts, shot lists — before your access changes.
8.4 Resubscribing If you cancel and subsequently decide to resubscribe you may do so at any time from your billing page. All previously created content will still be available in your account.
8.5 Annual plan cancellation If you cancel an annual plan you will retain access until the end of the twelve month period you have paid for. No refund will be issued for the remaining unused months except in the circumstances set out in Section 9.
9. Refunds
9.1 General policy Shotly does not offer refunds as a matter of course. All subscription purchases are considered final.
9.2 Case by case consideration Refund requests are considered on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of Shotly. To request a refund contact us at support@shotly.io with your account details and the reason for your request. We will review your request and respond within 5 working days.
