By applying to and participating in the Programme you agree to be bound by these Partner Terms in addition to Shotly's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Partner Terms by reference.

If there is any conflict between these Partner Terms and the Terms of Use, these Partner Terms shall take precedence in relation to the Programme.

2.1 Minimum age You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Shotly Partner Programme.

2.2 Content requirements To be eligible for the Programme you must:

  • Be an active content creator, filmmaker, videographer, educator or creative professional

  • Produce original content related to filmmaking, video production, creative production or related fields

  • Have an active and engaged audience on at least one public platform such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or similar

  • Produce content that meets Shotly's quality and brand standards as determined by Shotly in its sole discretion

2.3 Geographic eligibility The Programme is open to applicants worldwide. However commission payouts are made in GBP. You are responsible for any currency conversion fees or reporting obligations applicable in your jurisdiction.

2.4 Existing Shotly users While you are not required to be an existing Shotly subscriber to apply, familiarity with the Platform is strongly encouraged. Partners who use Shotly in their own workflow produce the most authentic and effective content.

2.5 Complimentary Pro Plan Upon approval into the Programme you will receive a complimentary Shotly Pro Plan for the duration of your active participation. This plan is provided to enable you to use and authentically promote the Platform. The complimentary plan is non-transferable and is for your personal use only. Upon termination or withdrawal from the Programme for any reason your complimentary Pro Plan will be revoked immediately and your account will revert to the Free Plan.

3. Application and approval

3.1 Invitation only The Shotly Partner Programme is invitation only. Participation is not open to the general public. You must submit an application through the official partner application form at shotly.io/partners and be approved by Shotly before you may participate in the Programme.

3.2 Application review Shotly will review your application at its sole discretion. We assess applications based on content quality, audience relevance, engagement, alignment with Shotly's brand values and cinematic aesthetic, and your experience within the filmmaking or creative production industry.

3.3 No obligation to approve Shotly is under no obligation to approve any application. Submitting an application does not guarantee participation in the Programme.

3.4 Notification You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email to the address provided in your application. If approved you will receive access to your unique partner tracking link via Rewardful, our affiliate tracking platform, and your complimentary Pro Plan will be activated within 48 hours of approval.

3.5 Only one application per person You may only submit one application. Submitting multiple applications may result in all applications being disqualified.

4. Partner tracking and links

4.1 Unique tracking link Upon approval you will be issued a unique partner tracking link via Rewardful. This link is personal to you and must not be shared with, transferred to or used by any other person or entity.

4.2 How tracking works When a user clicks your unique tracking link they are cookied by our tracking system. If that user subsequently purchases an eligible plan within the tracking window your commission will be recorded automatically.

4.3 Link integrity Your commission is only recorded when a referral comes through your unique tracking link. Discount codes or promotional references shared without your tracking link will not generate commission. Posting your discount code or tracking link on third party platforms such as Reddit, coupon sites or deal forums without accompanying genuine original content about Shotly constitutes misuse and will result in immediate termination of your participation in the Programme and forfeiture of any pending unvalidated commissions.

4.4 Tracking window The tracking cookie remains active for 30 days from the date of the referred user's first click on your tracking link. If the referred user completes an eligible purchase within this 30 day window your commission will be recorded. This includes users who sign up to the Free Plan via your link and subsequently upgrade to an eligible annual plan within the 30 day tracking window.

5. Commission and payouts

5.1 Commission structure Approved partners earn a fixed commission of £100 for each eligible referral as defined in Section 5.2. This is a flat rate and is not subject to negotiation or adjustment on a per partner basis.

5.2 Eligible referrals A referral is eligible for commission when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The referred user clicks your unique tracking link

  • The referred user creates a new Shotly account or is an existing Free Plan user

  • The referred user purchases an annual Pro Plan or annual Studio Plan subscription

  • The referred user's payment is successfully processed and is not subject to chargeback or reversal

  • The referred user's subscription remains active for a minimum of 30 days following purchase (the "validation period")

5.3 Referred user discount As part of the Programme your referred users will receive a 10% discount on the annual Pro Plan or annual Studio Plan at the time of purchase using your tracking link. This discount is applied automatically at checkout.

5.4 Validation period Commission is not confirmed until the referred user's subscription has remained active and in good standing for 30 days following the date of purchase. If the referred user cancels, requests a refund or initiates a chargeback within the validation period no commission will be payable for that referral.

5.5 Payout process Confirmed commissions are paid out monthly via Rewardful. Payouts are made in GBP. You are responsible for providing accurate payment details through your Rewardful partner dashboard. Shotly is not responsible for payment failures resulting from incorrect or outdated payment details provided by you.

5.6 Minimum payout threshold There is no minimum payout threshold. All confirmed commissions are paid out in the monthly payout cycle following confirmation.

5.7 Commission cap Shotly reserves the right to apply a monthly commission cap of 20 confirmed referrals per partner per calendar month. Where a cap is applied you will be notified in advance. This cap is intended to protect against fraudulent activity and will not be applied to restrict legitimate high performing partners without reasonable cause.

5.8 No withholding tax Shotly does not withhold tax on commission payments. You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes applicable to commission income in your jurisdiction. Shotly will not issue tax documentation in connection with commission payments.

6.2 Disclosure You must clearly and prominently disclose your commercial relationship with Shotly in all content that includes your partner tracking link or that promotes Shotly in connection with the Programme. This disclosure must comply with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on endorsements and testimonials. Typical disclosures include labelling content as "Ad", "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership with Shotly".

6.4 No disparagement You must not produce or publish content that disparages, defames or otherwise damages the reputation of Shotly, its products, its team or its partners.

6.5 Content ownership and licence You retain ownership of all content you produce as part of the Programme. By producing content that features or references Shotly you grant Shotly a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to share, repost and feature that content on Shotly's own platforms and marketing channels with appropriate credit to you. You will be made aware of this licence at the point of application so there are no surprises if Shotly shares your content.

6.6 No guaranteed results You must not make guarantees about the results or outcomes that referred users will achieve using Shotly. Claims about productivity, cost savings or other outcomes must be clearly framed as your personal experience and not as guaranteed results.

7. Prohibited conduct

As a partner you must not:

  • Use your tracking link or discount code for self referral — you may not use your own link or code to purchase a Shotly subscription for yourself or anyone connected to you

  • Share your tracking link or discount code on coupon websites, deal forums, Reddit or any other platform in a way that is disconnected from genuine original content about Shotly

  • Incentivise clicks on your tracking link through misleading, deceptive or coercive means that's just flea market

  • Impersonate Shotly or suggest that you are an official representative or employee of Shotly

  • Make claims about Shotly's features, pricing or roadmap that are inaccurate or not publicly confirmed by Shotly

  • Attempt to manipulate the tracking system or generate artificial clicks or referrals

8. Fraud and misuse

8.1 Investigation rights Shotly reserves the right to investigate any partner activity that it suspects may constitute fraud, misuse or a violation of these Partner Terms.

8.2 Commission forfeiture If Shotly determines that any commission was generated through fraudulent, misleading or prohibited activity that commission will be forfeited and will not be paid out. Any commission already paid in connection with fraudulent activity may be reclaimed by Shotly.

8.3 Suspicious activity Examples of activity that may trigger an investigation include but are not limited to:

  • An unusual spike in referrals from unverified or low quality traffic sources

  • Multiple referrals from the same IP address or device

  • A high rate of cancellations or chargebacks among referred users

  • Use of the tracking link or discount code on coupon sites or deal forums without accompanying genuine original content

  • Evidence of self referral

8.4 Cooperation You agree to cooperate fully with any investigation Shotly conducts in connection with suspected fraud or misuse and to provide any information reasonably requested by Shotly.

9. Programme changes and termination

9.1 Changes to the Programme Shotly reserves the right to modify the commission structure, eligibility criteria, content requirements or any other aspect of the Programme at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by email to your registered partner email address. Your continued participation in the Programme following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

9.2 Termination by you You may withdraw from the Programme at any time by notifying us at partners@shotly.io. Upon withdrawal your tracking link will be deactivated, your complimentary Pro Plan will be revoked immediately and your account will revert to the Free Plan. Any confirmed commissions already earned and past the validation period will be paid out in the next monthly payout cycle.

9.3 Termination by Shotly Shotly reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Programme at any time and for any reason including but not limited to violation of these Partner Terms, brand misalignment, fraudulent activity or the discontinuation of the Programme entirely. Where possible Shotly will provide notice before termination. Upon termination your tracking link will be deactivated immediately and your complimentary Pro Plan will be revoked immediately and your account will revert to the Free Plan.

9.4 Effect of termination Upon termination of your participation for any reason commissions that have not yet completed the 30 day validation period will not be payable. Shotly will honour all confirmed commissions that have passed the validation period regardless of the reason for termination, including termination for misconduct. Honoured commissions will be paid out in the next monthly payout cycle following termination.

10. Relationship between the parties

You are an independent contractor and not an employee, agent or representative of Shotly. Nothing in these Partner Terms creates any employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between you and Shotly. You have no authority to bind Shotly to any agreement or obligation. The term "Partner" as used throughout these Partner Terms and across Shotly's marketing materials is used solely as a commercial and descriptive label to identify approved participants in the Programme. It does not denote or imply any legal partnership, joint venture, agency or other business relationship between you and Shotly Ltd under the Partnership Act 1890 or any other applicable law.

11. Confidentiality

You agree to keep confidential any non-public information about Shotly's business, pricing, roadmap, technology or operations that you become aware of in connection with the Programme. This obligation survives termination of your participation in the Programme.

12. Limitation of liability

Shotly's total liability to you in connection with the Programme shall not exceed the total commission paid to you by Shotly in the three months preceding the claim. Shotly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising out of or in connection with the Programme or these Partner Terms.
